The University of Utah and the Park City Education Foundation present The Physics of Freestyle, Thursday March 27, 2014 at the Eccles Center in Park City.
This event is designed to help K-12 students understand how science is used by winter sports athletes to make them better at their trade.
Come hear from former Olympic and US ski champions, US Ski Hall of Famers, and current top-ranked professionals talk about how applying the principles of physics help them jump higher, go faster, and develop innovative tricks on the slopes.
Scheduled speakers include:
Erik Schlopy – Former Wold Cup alpine ski racer and three-time Olympian.
Trace Worthington - Two-time Olympian, Member of the US Ski Hall of Fame, and TV Host.
Scott Marland – Chairman of the National Ski Patrol and Executive Director of BioInnovations Gateway.
