University of Utah
2025 STEM Safety Day

Friday, September 5, 2025
Cleone Peterson Eccles Alumni House
155 Central Campus Drive

STEM Safety Day brings faculty, staff and experts together from throughout campus to offer trainings and updates on laboratory, clinical, classroom and workplace safety.

This free, multi-campus partner event offers seminars, trainings, and sessions designed to help our community better understand and mitigate health and safety hazards associated with working in STEM fields at the U. Whether you spend most of your time in a lab, a patient-facing setting, or an office, you will find relevant sessions to improve safety in your area of work.

Event Registration

Space is limited for many sessions.  As a reminder, the event is completely free and you can register for individual sessions throughout the day that work with your schedule.  You do NOT have to attend the whole day.  The program (see below) contains detailed descriptions of all sessions on the last few pages.  We recommend you first browse the program to identify the sessions that are of most interest to you and/or have the most relevance to your work/research.  Then use the registration link to find and register for those sessions.

Thank you for taking this opportunity to further learn and integrate safety into your daily work at the University of Utah!

See you on September 5th!
