Nonequilibrium Physics of Information

Applied Math, Applied Physics, Statistics, Theoretical Physics

From the intricate highway system of human vasculature/to the large-scale geological formation of mountains/to the individual motions of atoms and molecules/and so much in between... Can we detect and describe emergent pattern and structure? How do real-world systems process information/far from equilibrium and in constant flux with their changing environments? How do they absorb and dissipate energy to function? What do they have in common? In this stream/you will develop and apply tools to understand a “candidate system” most interesting to you/tailored to your interests. You will learn and build the rest of the skills needed as part of the stream.
