The College of Science and the College of Mines and Earth Sciences at the University of Utah are pleased to announce the 28th Annual Science Day at the U being held on Saturday, November 12, 2016. High school students (grades 9-12) from around the intermountain west are invited to attend a day of science-related workshops. These interactive workshops give high school students a great look at laboratory research and career opportunities in science, math and engineering. 

NEW THIS YEAR - A University of Utah liability waiver is REQUIRED to be completed by Participants and the Parent and/or Legal Guardian in order to participate in Science Day at the U. If you do not have a signed liability waiver YOU WILL NOT be allowed to participate in Science Day at the U. Please complete the attached liability waiver and return it via email to prior to Science Day. Participants who will be 18 years of age by Science Day will not be required to submit a liability waiver.



Science Day registration is now closed. If you did not register and would like to attend, please come to the Union building at 8:30 am for stand by seats. All students under the age of 18 must have a signed liability waiver to participate in Science Day at the U.

 Finding a University or College that is Right for My Student.

During the closing activities one $3,000 scholarship and three $1,000 scholarship prizes will be awarded! To be considered for this special prize you must attend Science Day at the U and be present at the closing ceremony. The scholarship is for study at the University of Utah. Other prizes will also be given away.
