Hello, my name is Alana! I am pursuing a double major in Biochemistry and Physics with a comprehensive emphasis. I am currently working in the Mulvey lab, where I am researching the shedding rate of flagellin in different strains of E. coli to see if it correlates to the severity of sepsis in patients at the hospital. I got involved in research through the ACCESS program, and I am also the Sugihara Scholar in the Crocker Science House for 2024-25. After obtaining my undergraduate degree, I plan on attending medical school and becoming a doctor. In my free time, I love playing piano, reading, powerlifting, and going to the symphony.
