SRI Speaker Series Kickoff

SRI Speaker Series Kickoff Event

Join us on Friday, November 11th for the first of many talks featured in our SRI Speaker Series!

Starting off the series is Dr. Priyam Patel - an Assistant Professor in the Mathematics Department at the University of Utah whose research focuses on low-dimensional topology and geometry. She is the recipient of numerous awards and grants including the National Science Foundation (NSF)’s CAREER Award, the NSF’s most prestigious award in support of early-career faculty. She is a passionate advocate for students and colleagues from historically marginalized groups, and she is committed to advancing equity and inclusion in STEM fields as well as higher education more broadly.

UCUR – STEM Abstract Workshop

If you are interested in submitting an abstract to the Utah Conference on Undergraduate Research (UCUR) or just wanted to learn more about abstracts, you're more than welcome to stop by in the library on October 6th from 4-5pm. We will be going over the basics of an abstract, and talk about what elements to incorporate in yours. We will also have time to work on your abstracts, and ask questions if you have any. If you have any questions about the abstract, feel free to reach out to Sarthak Tiwari at u1254813@utah.edu.

Scholarships, Grants & Financial Aid

College of Science Scholarship Opportunities

We don’t want financial roadblocks to limit your exciting future in STEM. The College of Science offers incoming undergraduate student scholarships. Applications can be found through Academic Works, the University's scholarship application portal. Students must complete the University General Application and then the College of Science Application to be considered for all college and department science scholarship opportunities of which they are eligible.

It is recommended that all students fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year to determine what state or federal aid they may be eligible for, including work-study opportunities and grants.

Before applying for scholarships, first-year and transfer students must have an active Campus Information Services (CIS) account and a University Email account (UMail).
